TV Won't Turn On

Television does not power on when pressing power button

Fix Steps:
1
Check if the power cable is firmly connected to the wall outlet and TV
2
Verify the wall outlet works by plugging in another device
3
Look for a red standby light on the TV - if absent, there may be a power issue
4
Try unplugging the TV for 60 seconds, then plug it back in
5
Press and hold the power button on the TV (not remote) for 10 seconds
6
Check if the remote batteries need replacement
7
If using a power strip, try connecting directly to wall outlet
Preventive Tip

Use a surge protector to prevent power surge damage. Avoid turning TV on/off rapidly.

A solid red light means the TV is receiving power but is in standby mode. A blinking red light usually indicates an error. No light at all means no power is reaching the TV.
Was this helpful?

No, a faulty remote cannot prevent the TV from turning on. You can always use the physical power button on the TV itself. If the TV won't turn on with either method, the issue is with the TV, not the remote.

Yes, absolutely! A quality surge protector can prevent damage from power surges and lightning strikes. This is especially important in areas with frequent storms or unstable power.
